About the role

As Sales Manager in Bekaert France, you will be responsible for Dramix® (steel fiber reinforcement) application in the prefabricated concrete industry. You are responsible for maximizing the customer engagement and sales in your dedicated area.

Your Impact as a Sales Manager Dramix:

  • You lead the entire process, from supervising and providing design to costs analysis, implementation and closing the deal.
  • You build up a strong insight in the market. Your targets are big and medium precast producers of structural and non-structural concrete elements. Your understanding of reinforced concrete design, norms and standards, construction methods, and building materials allows you to partner with your existing and new customers.
  • Through a deep understanding of the business of your customers you can identify opportunities for precasters while visiting their plants and thanks to your strong project consultancy and advisory skills, you are able to create value for our customers and the entire chain. You create and implement account plans to make their business stronger, by making use of new products, applications, services, processes. You articulate solutions and demonstrate the realized value.
  • You identify and cultivate design partners and other key stakeholders to the development of Dramix steel fibers in the allocated concrete precast market.
  • As accountable for your region, you work with a high degree of autonomy, supported, and coached by your area sales manager together with the Technical Team.
  • You manage the budget; you provide monthly forecasting and reporting, and you draw up profile reports for key customers. You follow-up on receivables and facilitate credit control.
  • As member of the South Europe team, you are willing to travel (approx. 50%) within France and South Europe countries on a regular basis.
  • You will report to the senior precast manager.


About You

Essential skills & competencies

  • Experience from the concrete industry and 5+ years sales experience, preferably at precast manufacturers, connections or fastener companies serving precast manufacturers, contractors.
  • You are a civil engineer/designer or commercial manager or who enjoys autonomous entrepreneurial way of working - where you have the ambition to create long-term success in a complex environment.
  • Technical orientation, and an interest and motivation to keep up to date and push for a change with technical material in connection with manufacturing, building materials, design possibilities and construction methods.
  • Solid commercial awareness, norms and regulations awareness and good knowledge of the business and market trends.
  • Strong value selling skills, based on listening, inquiry, plant visits and analysis.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering with knowledge in reinforced concrete design.
  • French native speaker as well as fluency in English. Spanish is a plus.
  • You have an open mind-set and are eager to learn and develop. You act with integrity and are capable to build deep and long-term relations with customers. You are result oriented, you have good influencing skills and a passion to win.
