Solution Architect- Adobe Commerce Magento

Role Description

As Solution Architect for Commercial Solutions (customer experience and customer excellence), you are accountable for proactively and holistically leading or supporting architecture, design, build and operate activities for a portfolio of solutions in response to market disruptive forces, and achieving targeted business outcomes. You are trusted and respected as a thought leader who can influence and persuade business and IT leaders and IT development teams.

Main Responsibilities in domain of Solution Architect are:

• Partnering with the Business area for defining and implementing the Commercial IT roadmap for Digital Commerce (B2B, B2B2C, D2C) product tracks. You will also be responsible in streamlining the product operations in alignment with the business objectives of the organisation.
• Responsible to drive multiple workstreams across the organization and support the “way we enable our customers and partners to search, decide and configure our products” and “way we enable our customers and partners to buy from Bekaert”.
• Work collaboratively across business and technology to build good understanding of strategic objectives for commercial products, identifies business outcomes, explores implications, impacts, and risks, and stakeholders’ priorities.
• Drive customer experience design, prioritization, and management of product tracks. Engages business stakeholders to identify technology-enabled innovation opportunities.
• Leads the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy, and technical debt, and implement solutions for improvement.
• Demonstrate deep understanding on the ecommerce potential and requirments and work with the business to develop sound and solid requirements for the eCommerce platform team.
• Provide recommendations and support to improve systems and processes to support eCommerce requirements like product information management, digital marketing, digital analytics, strategy and support of country rollouts and expansion of the platform.
• Support deployment of Bekaert Digital Commerce (B2B, B2B2C, D2C) in countries and functions acting as a trusted partner to business and regional management on eCommerce matters
• Lead eCommerce delivery team with opportunity to learn from Bekaert about innovative B2B / D2C topics and assist in deploying solutions within a global enterprise environment
• Lead eCommerce Implementation tracks for different Business Units by aligning high level design, low level design, code reviews, code quality & standards with various delivery teams
• Works closely with product managers, product owners and Architect peers to enable digital solutions agility, scalability, and resilience throughout product lifecycle as per industry best practices.
• Expertly performs design and development of third party (backend) integrations like Address/ Shipping/ Tax validation, Payment, CRM, OMS, PIM
• Execute upgrades and patching to the Adobe Commerce environment including application of patches / upgrades, testing and technical validations.
• Leads agile delivery teams to ensure continuous delivery of business value, leverage shared technologies, tools, value streams and processes that impact speed to value and time to market
• Works with Bekaert Architect community (e.g., enterprise, information, solutions, and security architects) to analyse business context and derive the future state technology architecture.
• Ensure strong alignment to enterprise governance, security and compliance practices through continuous collaboration and necessary interventions.
• Build a world-class Digital Engineering team. Develop team capabilities and manage deployment to provide customer-focused design and implementation support.
• Ensure teams have the right skills and composition to deliver quickly and respond to emerging requirements with agile approach.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information-technology, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
• 15+ years of overall experience, 6+ years into solution architecture, design and delivery of eCommerce (B2B, B2B2C, D2C) solutions on Adobe Commerce / Magento.
• 6+ years of B2B eCommerce implementation experience in medium to large scale (500+ users) environment
• Experienced in B2B, B2C, multi-site and multi-country, end-to-end implementations of eCommerce applications
• Good knowledge and experience with Adobe Commerce / Magento customization, workflows and integration knowledge with custom APIs.
• Good knowledge and experience with PHP, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Prototype, XML, Web-Services/WCF, Web API Restful services.
• Experience with Payment gateways like Adyen, PayPal
• Experience with integration of 3rd party solutions such as Shipping, Tax and Address.
• Experience integrating with Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics and other components in Adobe Cloud.
• Integration experience with CRM systems, API gateways and Microservices Architecture.
• Understanding of DevOps Automation process in related areas like CI/CD + Release Management + Security – Azure CI-CD stack with integrated tools & technologies, (Azure, Jenkins or AWS), Code quality rules (Checkmarx, Sonar, JSLint, ESLint) and performance monitoring tools like New Relic/App Dynamics for scalable use cases.
• Good understanding of Headless CMS & Headless Commerce architecture. Building aesthetical, functional, and responsive web-based applications.
• Good knowledge and experience in application development, application programming interfaces (APIs), middleware, cloud compute, database management, identity management and security.
• Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing environments (such as inside-out, outside-in)
• Knowledge of existing, new and emerging technologies and ability to practically apply them to new business designs and business models to achieve targeted business outcomes.
• Good analytical, planning, organizational and technical skills. Be a voice of reason to make tough calls.
• Excellent presentation, communication, leadership and business partnering skills to effectively present information to senior management.
• Sound experience in working with Multi-National & Offshore / Onsite team
