Technical Architect - Order to Cash

I. Purpose of the Role

Bekaert is leading transformation program to enhance the digital experience end-to-end that drive impact across multiple channels covering operations and commercial, with focus to improve relative cost position & cash utilization in manufacturing and supply chain operations, increase customer intimacy & conversion of marketing efforts in commercial. 

Your role as Solution Architect for Order-to-Cash domain is to describe new solution context, transform requirements into specific solution architecture design documents; Design technology solutions and goals for a specific new project, enhancement, in collaboration with Domain Architect and Product/Project Managers; Work with Domain Architect to ensure solution architecture align to program/project design guidelines, maintain and transform  the capability of existing SAP application. 

II. Roles and Responsibilities

• As a SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) Solution Architect, primary responsibility is to design, implement, and optimize end-to-end sales, logistics, and order management processes within SAP (S/4HANA).
• Contribute together with the Business & Technology teams to analyzing enterprise business context (business strategy and trends), defining and implementing the IT roadmap for Order-to-Cash domain. You will also be contributing to streamlining the product operations in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. 
• Work closely with product managers, O2C global process owner, business analysts etc, review the requirements, collaborate with IT implementation partners / system Integrators for functional & technical design, lead implementations and developments, ensure functional and technical documentation is created and kept up to date with the as-built situation.
• Be subject matter expert in SAP Sales & Distribution and integration design between SAP and satellite systems for transaction and process flow using various Industry standard Interface practices.  You are the main point of contact for the technical team.
• Lead implementation of project requirements and enhancements in the SAP SD area, with main focus on the sales-to-cash process, monitor risks/mitigation strategies with stakeholders and strive for improving efficiency of the solutions
• Lead the analysis of the current SAP environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy, and technical debt, and implement solutions for improvement, keep IT & Digital solutions up to date with industry trends and developments assuring backward compatibility, maintainability of applications on latest versions.
• Evaluate and deploy new technologies (e.g., SAP Fiori, AI) to enhance system performance, user experience, and business value.
• Steer efficient utilization and deployment of various technology products, technology platforms, development technologies, information, data, security controls.
• Identify potential technical risks, provide solutions for complex problems, and manage technical debt.
• Lead diagnosis and troubleshooting efforts with team for critical and repetitive issues occuring in the systems.
• Guide development and functional teams, ensuring solutions adhere to SAP best practices, quality standards, and security requirements.

III. Skills & Competencies

• In depth knowledge of SAP customizing in the SAP SD area and ABAP development (S/4 HANA) with 8+ years specializing in SAP SD through implementation, configuration, and design experience.
• Good knowledge and experience in integrating SAP SD with other SAP modules as well as other satellite systems (CRM, Magento is preferred).
• EDI integration with customers and strong understanding of the current and future integration architecture, middleware, application integration 
• Good Experience with S/4HANA SD configuration, migrations, and Fiori applications.
• Working knowledge of ABAP debugging, user exits, IDocs, APIs, and SAP BTP integration concepts.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies and capability of supporting agile teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt
• Articulate complex technical issues, and share ideas, participate in peer-reviews/design review boards, and exhibit strong listening skills
• Be able to collaborate with various cross functional teams, internal/external technical experts, Architects, other Technical Leads, Systems Analysts, and 3rd parties to drive technical solutions
• Ability to assess product quality and other non-functional attributes and provide recommendations
• Passionate about quality and continuous improvement, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, result oriented and proactive
• Knowledge of CRM (dynamics) and/or e-commerce (Magento) is nice to have .
• Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations
• Ability to propose and estimate the financial impact of solution alternatives
• Good written and verbal communication skills, multi-cultural sensitivity and open to travel up to 10-20% of the time. (international/intercontinental travel).

Education & Experience Required:
• Bachelor degree or above with 10 years relevant experience, 8+ years of experience in SAP SD domain with design, development and integration of applications, services, data, and processes. 
• SAP Certified with S/4 HANA.
• Experience of leading solution build and implementation at large scale.
• Significant experience in delivering strategic projects is a plus
• Experience in working with globally distributed teams and partners
• Hands-on capability for debuging is mandatory, experience in ABAP development is preferred
• Good written and verbal communication skills (in English).
• Knowledge of the Agile process and experience working in an Agile environment
