About the role

Your Impact as Regional HR Services Manager Americas:

Leads, steers, and develops the HR Services Partners regional organisation, its people, and its service delivery for both North and Latin America, in line with the HR Strategy, Bekaert Governance Principles and customer requirements, leveraging economies of scope, scale and expertise for own area.

  • Owns and ensures the execution of excellent HR service & performance within own regional area, ensuring state-of-the-art HR processes, tools, and standards for the areas of payroll, administration, local Reward and HR IS in the Region
  • Provides an inspiring and engaging leadership to a fully international team of direct reports in the Region
  • Is part of the HR Services Leadership Team, representing HR Operations for his / her region
  • Provides advice, guidance and support on HR Services Partner related topics within own organisation, to the relevant HR BP and to line managers/employees
  • Point of escalation for issues regarding Services operation that cannot be resolved at the lower level
  • Translates Group standards (incl. metrics and KPI’s) within own Regional area
  • Participates in or manages Group projects to further develop HR services in line with strategy and based on business needs
  • Triggers action if services related KPIs are outside the target range and makes sure improvement efforts are coordinated
  • Key interface to HR Business Partners during external audits (e.g. income tax, social security insurance) and internal audits such as EU 8th directive
  • Secures state of the art technical HR knowledge by participating in seminars, web casts, networks, etc. either by him / herself or by team members holding a specific responsibility.
  • Secures good governance through up-to-date documentation, training modules and auditing actions
  • Develops and maintains value-adding internal and external networks
  • Executes selected operational tasks for strategically important groups or employees

 

About You

Essential skills & competencies

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Economics or similar
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in core HR activities (payroll, administration, reward) on a regional managerial level, preferably in an industrial / production environment
  • Eager to grow with an HR operation and contribute with our team
  • Experience with UltiPro/UKG software preferred but not necessary
  • Possess strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Program Suite
  • Ability to problem solve, detail -oriented and able to maintain confidentiality
  • Should possess strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate at all levels of management inside of the organization
