Purpose and Mission
We are seeking a Facilities Engineer to take ownership of planning, maintaining, and continuously improving the infrastructure, facilities, and on-site equipment across our manufacturing environment. This role will ensure that all buildings, utilities, and related systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory and operational requirements. The position also includes assessing future facility needs and resource requirements to support business growth.
While the role is primarily Monday to Friday, day shift, flexibility is essential. At times, you may be required to provide cover for shift gaps or remain on site to resolve critical tasks related to safety or production.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
• Always work in a safe, professional manner, ensuring full compliance with all legislative, health and safety, and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain and oversee the general condition of site buildings, facilities, and infrastructure—including waste management, statutory inspections, and routine service activities.
• Coordinate, monitor, and support contractors carrying out maintenance or service work.
• Issue Permits to Work and provide relevant support to internal departments when required.
• Review and analyse operational systems and facility infrastructure to identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Define and validate facility and equipment specifications based on operational needs.
• Actively utilise the CMMS to log maintenance activities, track statutory checks, and monitor relevant departmental KPIs.
Skills
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Facilities Engineer or similar role.
• Solid understanding of applicable regulations, compliance requirements, and building codes.
• Strong project management capability with the ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver improvements.
• Proficiency in computer-based maintenance tools and the ability to manage, schedule, and prioritise maintenance activities effectively.
