About the role

Your Impact as Facilities Engineer

• Conduct all activities safely and professionally, always ensuring compliance to legislative and company Health and Safety policies/procedures.
• Responsible for the upkeep of the buildings and facilities, including supporting waste management, statutory inspections and routine service work. 
• Coordinating and overseeing contractors performing maintenance activities.
• Issue Permits to Work as a support function to other departments.
• Evaluating operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies.
• Determining facility and equipment specifications.
• Actively use the CMMS to log work done, facilitating the documenting of statutory checks and monitoring of department KPI’s.

About You

Essential skills & competencies

• At least 3 years experience working as a Facilities Engineer
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes.
• Project Management Skills
• Computer literate; able to schedule and facilitate the management of the Maintenance schedule.
