Purpose and Mission
We’re seeking an electrically biased Multi‑Skilled Engineer to maintain and improve our Bradford site. You’ll handle PPM routines, tackle reactive breakdowns, support facility repairs, and contribute to continuous improvement and project work that keeps our operations running at their best.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
- Work safely and professionally at all times, following all relevant legislation and company Health & Safety standards.
- Support departmental Health & Safety goals and contribute to ongoing improvements that reduce incidents and enhance workplace wellbeing.
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance, reactive repairs, and statutory checks on electrical and mechanical systems, collaborating with the Maintenance Team to keep machinery downtime to a minimum.
- Take part in cross‑functional Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify issues and deliver lasting solutions.
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement projects focused on safety, quality, and equipment performance.
- Complete repairs and upkeep on site facilities to maintain a high operational standard.
- Use the CMMS to record completed tasks, track issues, and support reductions in equipment faults.
- Plan maintenance activities and prioritise workload in partnership with the Shift Controller.
- Work closely with Shift Managers, fellow Maintenance Engineers, and external contractors to support smooth and efficient site operations.
Skills
- Strong electrical fault‑finding skills across PLCs, AC/DC motors, drives/inverters, relay logic, with familiarity in pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Time‑served electrical apprenticeship plus NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a production maintenance environment with a multi‑skilled approach.
- Analytical, logical, and methodical problem‑solver, comfortable working in a fast‑moving environment.
- Computer literate and confident using maintenance systems (CMMS).
- Demonstrates core values: Integrity, Trust, Agility, and Boldness — with experience in Allen Bradley PLCs considered an advantage.
