Quality Technician

Role:- Quality Technician

Location:-  Bradford (close to M606)

Salary:- £29592.24 plus shift allowance of £9,765.44 per annum

Shifts:- 2 x 12 hour day shifts followed by 2 x 12 hour night shifts then 4 days off.

About the role

As part of our ongoing growth and development we are recruiting for a Quality Technician to join our team at our Bradford site

Responsibilities

As a Quality Technician you will be:-

• Inspecting and testing wire.
• Ensuring optimal operational quality control
• Safeguarding the long-term competitiveness of the site.
• Working within SAP to ensure accurate reporting and traceability of all products and process.
• Improve operational performance by pushing quality forward, supporting the Quality Manager & Quality Engineer.
• Undertake root cause analysis to deal with recurrent issues or opportunities to help implement a continuous improvement process.
• Ensuring compliance with all Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental procedures
• Conduct Product, Process & System audits.
• Ensuring that the product delivered agreed with specification procedures and test methods.
• Ensuring adequate documented process robustness
• Microscopic examination of products
• Identifying out of specifications promptly.
• Auditing of despatch loads and paperwork.
• Inspections of raw material
• Calibrated of measuring equipment

The Ideal Candidate will possess or be able to demonstrate:-

• ISO audit experience, preferably 9001 & 14001
• Experienced proactive quality professional within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills
• Competent in Microsoft Office applications
• SAP experience would be an advantage
• Confident in making decisions and providing feedback to groups and individuals
• The ability to recognise training needs and recommend development strategies
• Willingness to develop and promote continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility
