About the role

Bridon-Bekaert the Ropes Group (BBRG) is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our Synthetics team in Coatbridge/ Grangemouth (Scotland).

 

Your Impact as Quality Engineer:

 

  • Organise and pro-actively lead all activities relating to the execution of specified continuous improvement and customer projects to achieve on time, to required product quality and within budget and to meet the Quality Technical requirements of contract. This role is to support Coatbridge and Grangemouth facilities with some oversea travel if required.
  • Utilising cross functional teams within the sites and support functions develop, lead and report monthly continuous improvement activities in line with standard business formats.
  • To assist and take ownership wherever possible in Quality Assurance tools such as FMEA, 8D, Quality circles, SPC, and others to guarantee understanding, commitment and be results focused.
  • To support the maintenance and improvement of the quality management system in accordance with ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 etc. as required to achieve customer orders.

 

About You

 

Essential skills & competencies

 

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 2 years of experience in the area as specified above in Manufacturing organisation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge & experience of QMS requirements, with a strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Proficient in key quality techniques such as 5 whys, fishbone analysis, and 8D problem-solving.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle conflicts effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and successful completion of continuous improvement projects.
  • Familiarity with 8D problem-solving techniques and their application in various scenarios.
  • Knowledge and experience in using 6 sigma tools and techniques to drive process improvements
  • Possessing a Six Sigma certification would be a plus.
