About the role

As a Digital Transformation Analyst, you will explore and evaluate cutting-edge digital technologies and introduce them at Bekaert.

Supported by technical process and equipment experts, you will propose and develop data usage from equipment, sensors, quality testing, ERP systems, and more.

Your data-driven approach will become an additional new tool for your colleagues in the technology team, complementing their lab experiments, numerical modelling and other research activities.

 

  • You will be part of a global technology team supporting the development of the process and equipment for high performing wire solutions.

  • You will get to understand customer applications and physical processes of metal deformation, heat-treatment, polymer and metallic coatings.

  • You will identify data requirements and select data from machines, sensors, camera’s, needed for process and product control.

  • You will structure data, define aggregations, and define together with IT and Engineering colleagues the optimal data pipeline and platforms to be used: IoT, Datalake, Python-scripts, ...

  • You will analyse data, create explainable AI models, and validate with process experts.

  • You will develop dashboards, digital twins, and process control tools for the production environment.

  • You will manage digital projects, set up cross-functional teams, and use project management tools.

 

About You

Essential skills & competencies

  • You have master’s degree in Applied Science, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.

  • You demonstrate a strong focus on accuracy and results, with efficient acquisition of process and technical knowledge.

  • You possess strong interpersonal and cooperation skills, thriving on collaborative efforts, particularly in multicultural settings.

  • You can travel occasionally as required.

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, knowledge of Dutch is a big advantage.
