About the role

Your Impact as ‘Head of Innovations – Steel Wire Solutions’:

  • You will develop and drive the Technology & Innovation (T&I) strategy, agenda and pipeline for SWS, in alignment with and support of the unit’s overall strategy (Portfolio transformation aiming at a sustainable EBIT of above 9% and an improved coherent equity story).
  • Build an Innovation pipeline of 175 Mio€ innovation sales/yr (2030) – with 35M€ value generated.
  • Install the Innovation System/innovation operating model suitable for SWS.
  • Build an innovation organisation that can sustain a healthy innovation pipeline (regions – market in – matching & broadening tech capabilities...)
  • Day to Day management of the innovation team (5DR)
  • The role will be reporting into our divisional CEO for SWS and has a dotted line to the Chief Innovation and Technology Officer.
  • The position will have a seat in the SWS leadership team and is responsible for a well embedded technology and innovation agenda.

About You

Essential skills & competencies

  • Technology & Innovation Master through training or experience:
    • 15 years of project leadership and portfolio management in the area of definition and development of new products , processes, technologies – beyond incremental product development
    • Experienced in T&I Portfolio Management, accompanied with strategy and business development skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong conceptual skills to design and develop Solutions for complex problems and challenges in different domains.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to coach others on the selection of preferred solutions for our customers.
  • Organizational Development: Ability to deploy best practices into organization and the business.
  • Strong critical observation capabilities and analytical mindset to improve the existing processes.
  • Self-starter, strong sense of ownership and natural driven to get things done..
  • Strong communicator able to influence, motivate and coordinate team members and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management capability to drive communication across all relevant parties.
  • Strong ability to build long-term internal and external relationships in a complex environment.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with excellent interpersonal skills, and oral and written communication skills.
  • Dynamic, flexible and ambitious person, able to work in an autonomous manner with a strong focus on building state of the art knowledge and delivering results achieving excellence in various domains
