About the role

As an R&D Support Technician Hydrogen you will be involved in the sintering of titanium and/or nickel-based materials to produce porous transport layers used in PEM water electrolyser to produce green hydrogen. You will support the product development by ensuring a smooth process in the sample production process. You will have a direct influence in the overall efficiency of our next generation product portfolio and contribute to possible improvements in the sample production process.


Your Impact as an R&D Support Technician Hydrogen :

  • Operating sintering and/or calendar (calendaring) equipment and operating the machines according to the technical data sheets.
  • Addressing equipment, process, and quality issues from an R&D perspective.
  • Ensuring project deadlines are being met with regards to sample preparation as determined by product development group.
  • Ensuring that the machines/equipment are in good working order and that the planned maintenance actions are followed (sintering ovens, calendars).
  • Providing practical support in identified problems and reporting potential issues with the test execution.
  • Contributing to document machines/equipment work instructions.


About You

Essential skills & competencies


  • You have an A2 degree in a relevant field and preferably some working experience within a technical direction and (Electromechanics/Electricity/Mechanics/CNC).
  • Experience in sintering, calendars, solving minor malfunctions (mechanical/electrical) and some familiarity with metal fibers and/or powders is an advantage.
  • You are well organised and pragmatic, with an acumen for problem solving.
  • You demonstrate safety awareness.
