PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • The OPEX change facilitator drives a Bekaert-wide transformation program (Digital Manufacturing) aiming at driving value creation by leveraging data to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our plant resources, ensure customer requirements are met and exceeded and improves the daily work of the people in the plant by making it safer, more attractive and less complex
  • The regional OPEX change facilitator interacts with the sites where Digital Manufacturing gets deployed and is responsible to design and implement a playbook to consistently embed the new digital tools in daily operations on all levels of the organization and make sure to deliver on the targets.
  • As part of Bekaert’s Digital ambition, the Regional OPEX Change Facilitator will support plants across all Bekaert business units and across the world (excluding North-Asia) in preparing and deploying Digital Manufacturing, consisting of MES and the Digital BMS functionalities, with a main focus on realization of Value

 

TASK DESCRIPTION

  • Focus on change
  • Design and implement a playbook to consistently embed the new digital tools in daily operations on all levels of the organization and make sure to deliver on the targets
  • Set up change strategy and prepare all involved users and stakeholders in their roles
  • Help the sites to prepare for the change, and create a roadmap for all stakeholders involved.
  • Act as a community lead to ensure best practices in Digital Manufacturing benefit delivery and to make sure success stories get shared across the organization
  • He/she acts as an ambassador for the global Digital Manufacturing project
  • He/she works in close collaboration with the global product manager and product owners to ensure functional requirements will get included
  • He/she collaborates actively with the global, regional and local BMS teams 
  • Organize & manage all activities related to implementation of Digital Manufacturing in Bekaert plants, focusing in enabling the plants to deliver Value (excluding IT activities)
  • Engage the plant management and stakeholder team, ensuring sufficient resources are available
  • Perform pre-diagnostics to ensure success in implementation
  • Support the plant in development of a value case and CAR
  • Develop an implementation plan with the plant
  • Define required resources and ensure availability together with the plant
  • Drive the site preparation and the implementation of Digital Manufacturing
  • Coach the plant stakeholders (Key User and relevant other plant employees)
  • Keep a close eye on the cooperation between plant team and global/regional teams & act as a true change agent/problem solver
  • Support piloting of newly developed features in pilot plants, playing a pivotal role between the Product Manager and SME (who focus on value) and the plant team (in the driving seat) to ensure effective and efficient piloting of features
  • Capture potential new value-driving features and share with Product Manager
  • Bring roadblocks and potential solutions to the Product Manager (a.o. via the ART sync meeting)

Background

  • You have a production background and/or like being in production environments and preferably you come from a plant itself (additionally, knowledge and/or affinity with quality, process control and maintenance is a plus)
  • You have possibly had a previous management position
  • You have impact and credibility
