Solution Architect -SAP ERP Platform

As Solution Architect (SAP ERP Platform), you shall be involved in researching, reviewing, and making recommendations on any new software applications or innovations from a perspective of design, integration, and technical fit with other systems.

You will also help with architecture guidelines, standards and solutions that support the business strategy, business outcomes and needs. Lead and provide guidance to the teams on development guidelines and documentation standards.

Main Responsibilities of Solution Architect – SAP ERP platform are:

  • Define and guide roadmaps to cloud infrastructure and S/4 Hana migration.
  • Design, develop, test, and implement complex projects for system upgrades, migrations, decommissioning’s and transformations.
  • Define general governance standards for documenting, naming conventions and other best practices.
  • Provide guidance and drive the creation of standards, reusable assets, and automation required for scale and multiple lines of business adoption.
  • Guide and orchestrate the daily operational activities of the SAP ERP platform, including performance, reliability, availability, maintenance windows, upgrades, archiving and early watch monitoring.
  • Maintain an active engagement on the SAP support channel, following up on partners and on SAP.
  • Play an active role in the SAP audit and licence count.
  • Hands on design, development, deployment, and maintenance of Cloud infrastructure, basis setup and custom development.
  • Define and implement best practices for (low code) development, archiving, custom code life cycle management and license audits.
  • Manage, monitor, sustain, troubleshoot, and support developments and basis setup in SAP ERP.
  • Manage technical risk by identifying and advocating for the best possible solution as well as Identify inefficiencies or gaps (data integrity, security, performance, manageability, etc.)
  • Lead activities to manage software life-cycle management among non-production and production environments.
  • Lead a team of globally distributed developers, working with business stakeholders, and working in a large enterprise setting with multiple cross-functional teams.

 

VI. EDUCATION, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information-technology, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
  • 9+ years of overall experience, 5+ years into solution architecture with Integration technologies
  • Demonstrate excellent technical & architecture skills in the context of SAP ERP platform, Development standards and Best Practices
  • Experience in design and build of Applications
  • Experience in migration to cloud infrastructure or S/4 Hana
  • Strong knowledge of using ABAP, Java, IDOC, RFC, SOAP, HTTP, REST, SFTP
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand the needs for the various software applications.
  • Analyze, understand, and improve tools and processes to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of implementing SAP ERP
