Global Employee Communications Manager – (Hybrid) Fixed Term Maternity Cover

Salary:- Depending upon experience

Location:- Remote

Contract Length:- 5 months


About the role:-

This role is key to delivering all communications within Bekaert in a way in which demonstrates and re-iterates the culture of our business ensuring that the message is not only impactful but delivered in the appropriate communication channels. As a global business this will not just cover the UK but the wider Bekaert locations too. As Global Employee Communications Manager you will work closely with internal business partners as a key contributor to improve communication capability within the organization and to nurture engagement and create a high performance culture.


The duties will include but aren’t limited to:-

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the internal communications strategy and annual planning to support business objectives and engagement.
  • Work constructively with other teams and senior leaders and provide advice and support in developing and executing effective, outcome-oriented communication plans and initiatives.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to identify storytelling opportunities that drive Bekaert’s strategy.
  • Translate business objectives into relevant, consistent and compelling stories to use across verbal, written and social media communication channels.
  • Identify, develop and make use of a set of internal communication channels and tools that serves the needs and preferences of different employee groups.
  • Communicate with purpose, assess the success of communication activities for your stakeholders and track progress against objectives.


The ideal candidate will possess or be able to demonstrate:-


  • A masters degree combined with several years of relevant experience, preferably in an international environment that includes offices, plants and remote work locations.
  • Experienced in taking business strategy and objectives to develop effective 360-degree communication solutions that can be applied across an organization.
  • Act and communicate with a high level of personal integrity and are able to recognize and deal with various or challenging situations with tact, clarity and persuasiveness.
  • Keep pace with current and emerging technologies, techniques and trends and have a good sense of whether/how they could be used to improve communication.
  • Excellent content creations skills inclusive of videography would be a distinct advantage.
