Purpose and Mission

We are seeking a dedicated SHE Coordinator to join our team in Doncaster. As a Safety, Health, and Environmental Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the SHE department through various administrative tasks, data management, report writing, and compliance activities. Your contributions will help ensure the wellbeing of our employees and the smooth operation of our occupational health services.

 

Responsible for supporting the Plant SHE Manager in implementing and maintaining safety, health, and environmental programs. This role involves conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Produce documents, reports, and presentations for the SHE department.
  • Collate data to generate statistics and reports as required.
  • Maintain and enhance office systems, including data management and filing.
  • Manage wellbeing initiatives across sites and distribute materials accordingly.
  • Assist in coordinating occupational health services.
  • Conduct site SHE audits and provide audit reports.
  • Ensure completion of all SHE actions by liaising with relevant personnel.
  • Manage the site yellow card system.
  • Support investigations and assist in completing risk assessments.
  • Liaise with external providers as required.
  • Perform other ad hoc administrative duties as assigned.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all information
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Self-motivation and leading by example on all H&S matters.
  • Build strong relationships at all levels of the business, from shop floor workers to senior management.

Skills

  • Good standard of general education, particularly GCSE/equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Strong word processing and IT skills.
  • Understanding of confidentiality issues and discretion.
  • General office skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and present material clearly and concisely.
  • Honesty and reliability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health.
  • Knowledge and experience of Lean or other CI manufacturing practices.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
