Purpose and Mission

We are seeking a Technical Applications Specialist to join our team to add to our technical capability and support the delivery of industry‑leading rope solutions across our global customer base. Provide specialist steel wire rope applications and product expertise to customers and internal teams, lead technical problem‑solving, and support product development initiatives that respond to evolving market and customer needs. 

Key Activities and Responsibilities

•    Act as an internal expert on wire rope applications, supporting sales and market sector teams.
•    Deliver technical support to customers, including troubleshooting, training, and on site assistance.
•    Contribute to product development, NPI/PDP activities, and application specific design input.
•    Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation following customer interactions.
•    Build strong relationships with distributors, OEMs, end users, and technical bodies.
•    Participate in trade shows, conferences, and sector specific technical committees as required.
•    Support complaint investigation and resolution within defined limits.
•    Provide technical sales training to internal teams.
•    Manage daily workload and maintain accurate activity data.

Skills

  • Strong ability to form effective relationships with internal and external technical personnel.
  • Confident communicator with good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to varied customer and project needs.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel globally, sometimes at short notice.

Previous Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role or in the lifting/rigging/wire rope industry is preferred.

Qualifications and Education

  • Applicants with engineering backgrounds or degree‑level education will be considered.
