Sales Manager Tunnelling & Mining (MEA)

Purpose and Mission

The Sales Manager – Tunnelling & Mining (MEA) based in Dubai UAE, is responsible for leading the commercial growth of Bekaert’s steel fiber and synthetic fiber solutions across the Middle East and Africa. The role focuses on tunnelling, underground construction, mining, shotcrete, and ground support applications, driving business development, project acquisition, specification activities, and customer relationships. He will report to ASM / Head of Infrastructure Middle East.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the regional sales strategy for tunnelling and mining segments across MEA.
• Drive specification and adoption of Bekaert steel fiber solutions in underground and mining projects.
• Manage relationships with project owners, consultants, contractors, mining operators, and distributors.
• Identify and convert opportunities in metro, railway, road tunnel, hydro, utility tunnel, and mining projects.
• Lead commercial negotiations and secure long-term supply agreements.
• Coordinate with technical teams on design optimization, shotcrete applications, and ground support solutions.
• Coordinate with Specification engineer authority approvals, certifications, and market access initiatives.
• Coordinate with supply chain team deliveries on time, shipments based on site need, and dosing equipment deliveries and installation.
• Monitor competitors, market trends, and emerging technologies.
• Represent Bekaert at industry events, conferences, and technical seminars.
• Closely coordinate with Dubai blue line team, Dubai loop, and High-speed railway project both sections segment casting process to ensure high quality.
• Up sale and cross sale develop new application along with ASM for awarded projects.

Qualifications & Experinece

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline. Master’s degree in engineering science / fiber technology is preferred.
• Experience in infrastructure, tunnelling, precast, construction materials, structural design, or specification engineering.
• Knowledge of Eurocode, fib Model Code, ACI, and BS EN standards is preferred.
• Locally presented is mandatory.
• Well known profile for Ready mix suppliers / local laboratories.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel across the Middle East with 50 % travel percentage.
