About the role

Your Impact as Demand Planner:

  • The Demand Planner position is responsible for forecasting activities associated with customers and products. The Demand Planner creates and maintains forecast models for customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, and other sources.  The Demand Planner is the integration point into the sales and commercial organization.
  • To be a single point of contact to create and maintain all general data related to the Raw Material and Finished Goods (description, base unit of measure, prod hierarchy, material group, etc.) and specific organizational and operational data like storage location data, planning data etc. where applicable, allowing the business to operate in SAP and KBM.

 

About You

Essential skills & competencies

  • To be the point of contact for all intracompany orders including putting up the sales orders, process orders, and distribution requirements for these orders.
  • Maintain master data for BBRG NAM
  • Help to ensure smooth import-export process
  • To enter all new process orders and make certain all orders on the books are tagged to either production or inventory.
  • To track all intracompany movement and inventory replenishment orders.
  • To maintain clear daily reporting on production, schedule adherence, and performance to plan and making certain that the metrics we are using are relevant and up to date.
  • Maintain all Supply Chain ISO/API documentation.
  • Maintain finished goods forecast portfolio.
  • Work with Master scheduler to determine stock requirements for finished goods.
  • Maintain order book to meet customer expectation as it applies to operations planning.
  • Forecast and track monthly billing and shipments
  • Responsible for accurate data entry between SAP, and KBM
  • To create and maintain the data in the predefined structure in the system (SAP).
  • Maintain a clear link daily between sales and operations.
  • Be able to explain to the community how to use the master data fields in reporting.
  • To ensure all requests for new/amended parts are dealt with in a timely manner to ensure smooth operation of Sales, Planning, Purchasing, and reporting functions.
  • Responsible for all production errors and seeing that daily production is taken care of as early as possible daily.
  • Responsible for clearing any errors between the systems to enable the sales process to continue.
  • Write clear and accurate procedures relating to the way of working in SAP as it pertains to all areas of the supply chain.
  • Interact with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
  • Develop demand forecasts with sales reps and segment leads
  • Maintenance of forecast changes
  • Maintain consignment stock levels based on balance
  • Maintain open orders book
  • Transfer forecast changes to forward production plan
  • Make list of material needs (order list)
  • Establish and communicate priorities based on customer needs
  • Prepare billing estimate weekly for sales team
  • Coordinate shipping and production deadlines with daily meetings
  • Coordinate with Oakland City team weekly for completion dates, priorities, and material requirements
  • Write clear and accurate procedures relating to the way of working in SAP as it pertains to all areas of the supply chain.

 

Planning & Organizing:

  • Knows the products in the plants
  • Works in a structured way to ensure all relevant data is captured
  • Goes and gets the required information (where it is originated or known)
  • Has analytical skills to provide analysis on data to anyone requesting this (sales, technology, planning, costing, etc.)
  • Can help to prepare/translate the current plant's data available in different formats, sources, and departments in the new framework

 

Internal & External Relationships:

  • Must communicate with peers from other plants regarding the content in case of global products and supply chain purchases. Must maintain a high level of communication between all departments.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Minimum Associates’ Degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in a related field
  • Skilled At: Customer centricity, interpersonal and analytical skills, problem solving, decision making, communication, ability to work across multiple departments. Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and understanding impacts on operations. 
  • Knowledge of: Wire rope and related products including steel, computerized document and data management systems, Planning and supply functions.  Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
