About the Role
Location: Wilkes – Barre, Pennsylvania
Type: Full-Time
We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Maintenance Manager to lead all maintenance operations across our steel ropes manufacturing plants. This leadership role is critical to ensuring our equipment’s reliability, driving uptime, improving efficiency, and fostering a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do
Lead multi-site maintenance operations
• Oversee all maintenance activities across two plants, ensuring equipment reliability and maximum operational uptime.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians and supervisors.
• Manage machinery installations, upgrades, and timely repairs.
Drive preventive & predictive maintenance
• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Use data and maintenance KPIs to reduce unplanned downtime and increase equipment performance.
Ensure safety & compliance
• Maintain strict adherence to local regulations and company safety standards.
• Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring all machinery meets quality and compliance requirements.
Own budget & resource planning
• Develop and manage maintenance budgets, including labour, spare parts, and capital expenditures.
• Maintain accurate inventory and optimize supply purchasing.
Lead projects & continuous improvement
• Plan and manage major repairs, equipment overhauls, and facility improvement projects.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering to support process improvements and plant expansion initiatives.
Reporting & communication
• Provide regular updates on equipment performance, maintenance KPIs, and project progress to senior leadership.
• Support hiring, training, and ongoing development of maintenance personnel.
About You
Skills & experience
• Strong background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial systems.
• 5 – 7+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or related environment.
• Demonstrated success managing teams, budgets, and large-scale maintenance projects.
• Proficiency with maintenance management software.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a continuous-improvement mindset.
• Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of safety standards, regulatory compliance, and best practices.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree required, master’s in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
