Your Role

•    You translate the overall long-term synthetic segment strategies into an annual regional sales plan.
•    Through development of new, and ongoing contacts with existing customers, you ensure execution of the annual sales plan in terms of volume and margin.
•    You set-up commercial partnerships that will accelerate growth 
•    You provide accurate sales forecasts and updates
•    You follow up on specific technical support and you organize / commercialize our services offering
•    You build in depth product and application knowledge. 
•    You continuously monitor the target market, the evolution of customer priorities and competitor activities.
•    You are the main contact with clients and therefore are first in line to capture clients’ needs. You forward this information internally to play an active role in the product and/or application development and synthetics segment strategies.
•    You report to the Regional Commercial Director Ropes and work closely with the General Manager Synthetics. In addition, you collaborate with the Innovation, the Customer service and Operations Teams.
•    Travel is needed; up to 25% of your time you visit customers and prospects in your region.  


Your Profile

•    University degree in engineering, commercial engineering or business management.
•    Minimum of five years business development / marketing & sales experience in a B2B context, preferably but not necessarily in the Synthetics Ropes business and/or one of the segments in which we are active (off shore, crane & industrial).
•    Background in international business management, international customer-supplier relationship, general business law and contracts as well as international trade practices and regulations. 
•    Energetic “Hunter” type of commercial manager with “roll up sleeves” mentality.
•    Excellent communication and people skills.
•    A highly collaborative, enthusiastic manager with a proven track record of working in matrix organizations. 
•    History of setting and achieving high standards of performance.  
•    Values and leverages diversity.  
•    Strong character and personal integrity. 
•    Attitude of “putting the customer in the heart of everything we do”.
