About the role

Your Impact as Material Planner in Wilkes-Barre, PA:

In this role, the individual is to ensure optimum efficiency of product flow from raw material to wire customer (internal or external) meeting on-time deliveries as required by customer or schedule. The Material Planner will report to the Plant Manager and will work out of the Hanover (Wilkes-Barre), PA plant location. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability and experience to schedule work on Wire Drawing machines to optimize production and material flow while maintaining minimal, although safe, inventory levels.
• Ability to build wire and rope orders including use of measured wire.
• Ability to effectively problem solve to maximize production output while maintaining timelines to meet customer’s expectations.
• Manage incoming materials and timely delivery from outside vendors & WRI.
• Ability to interface professionally with a multitude of departments within Bridon-Bekaert Group and outside vendors and contacts.
• Prepare rod report to include consumption and forecast.  Prepare monthly rod orders through multiple vendors to control cost.
• Monitor rip/inlet stock levels, create orders, and schedule the furnace run time as needed to meet customer needs & ensure model stock levels are optimized.
• Responsible for Trade Wire scheduling to ensure timely production. 
• Oversee Hanover shipping operation to ensure OTD of all wire products.
• Work with all Bridon-Bekaert Co.’s to maintain the seamless flow of product for all Ropes Group entities.
• Prepare and distribute daily wire mill plan.
• Primary POC for all wire related issues.
• Ability to perform all functions of the Rope Mill Planner.
• Perform other duties as needed.

About You

Essential skills & competencies

• Computer Skills: SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, Scheduling Systems
• Required Education: High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree or equivalent experience
• 5 years related experience.
• Possesses skills set in Continuous Improvement, Communications skills, Problem solving, Analyzing Information
