The purpose of the vacancy
We’re looking for a technical expert in metal-coated steel wires—especially advanced hot-dip Zn-Al coatings—to help us lead the way in product excellence at Bekaert. Your main focus will be to define and communicate the unique selling points (USPs) of our metallic coatings across a wide range of applications and markets. You’ll acquire and use deep knowledge of galvanized wire performance to support marketing teams across regions and help shape our global strategy. You’ll also play a key role in driving innovation, developing new and improved coatings for both existing and future wire applications. About the role
You will master the product, you will become an expert in the properties and production process of galvanized wires.

You will work with the latest lab characterization techniques and AI tools for analyzing images, numerical data and unstructured literature data.

You will work closely with our production plants and commercial teams to support both manufacturing and sales.

You will understand what Bekaert can offer globally—coating types, thicknesses, wire shapes, mechanical properties, and surface finishes.

It will be necessary to keep track of all innovations and improvements in metallic coatings across our teams.

You will organize comparisons to evaluate and improve product quality and performance.

You will monitor competitors and stay informed about trends in galvanized steel sheets and components.

You will get the time and necessary resources to grow your technical skills and yourself as a person and professional.

About You

You have a degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences, ideally with a focus on Chemistry, Metals, or Physics.

You enjoy understanding how things work and finding ways to make them better.

You’re familiar with lab testing and electrochemistry, and you’re interested in improving how tests are done.

You like solving problems and thinking things through logically.

You can explain your ideas clearly in writing and presentations.

You work well with people from different backgrounds, cultures, and locations.

You stay curious and want to grow your expertise.

You manage projects well and take a structured approach to your work.

You’re ready to learn about manufacturing and production processes.

You speak English fluently and you can make conversation in Slovak

We offer
average month salary is from 1725 Eur brutto, could be higher depending of seniority of the candidate
average salary is composed of base salary 1500 Eur and variable pay (15% standard)
