Purpose and Mission

Bekaert is leading transformation program to enhance the digital experience end-to-end that drive impact across multiple channels. The transformation in Operations is focused on improving the relative cost position and cash utilization in manufacturing and supply chain.

The Business Analyst is accountable for gathering input from business teams and writing usable requirements (or stories) for internal or external implementation teams and planning the User Acceptance Test process. In this way it is to be ensured that the software solution serves the targeted business needs, brings the targeted business value and is adopted by the business teams.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Have a detailed understanding of the digital business objectives and technology solutions and can translate high-level business vision, ideas and strategic goals into requirements for technology or implementation teams.
  • Navigate the product and technical organizations to consolidate business input and write business and platform requirements for medium to large sized projects and projects that span multiple products.
  • Own the collaboration process between the business and tech teams to finalize requirements gathering within an agreed timeframe. Submit final requirements (or initial stories, for agile methodology) for development and/or configuration/parametrization.
  • Responsible for drafting the UAT (User Acceptance Test) plan and capturing input from users and provide engineers with consolidated change requirements.
  • Facilitate scope change discussions and provide recommendations to Project Owners/Product Managers.
  • Accountable for validating that business requirements are met through the project/product's delivery cycle and helping with solution adoption in business.
  • Support the different roles in the Bekaert Supply Chain Planning community to deploy solutions and to ensure full user adoption and realization of the business case.

Skills

  • Bachelor degree or above with 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Additional education or certification in the area of Supply Chain is an asset
  • Domain background and solid understanding of supply chain planning processes such as demand planning, forecasting, sales & operations planning, master scheduling, production planning, detailed scheduling, ATP/CTP, …
  • Financial background or proven competency in financial estimation and business case development
  • Must possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to articulate and document business requirements, identify risks and manage trade-offs
  • Demonstrated understanding or experience with configuration or parametrization of (supply chain) software tools such as SAP APO, OMP, others
  • Experience working in a matrixed technology organization and familiar with projects that span multiple cross-functional teams
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English. Additional language knowledge of Spanish or Chinese is an asset.
  • Is able to work in an international team/culture. Occasional international business travel might occur.
