The role of a category specialist is to manage commercial terms for a specific commodity and ensure suppliers are capable of meeting Bekaert's quality, technology and supply requirements.  As a buyer, you will be expected to help manage all aspects of the supplier relationship including contract maintenance, target achievement, commodity strategy development and execution.

About the role
Perform a Spend & Demand Analysis
Identify Cost Drivers for the specific category and material group
Initiate, develop and execute TCO projects
Assist on the Supply Market Analysis, Industry Landscape and competition & benchmarking
Define and develops the category Sourcing Strategy
Activates Tendering & Supplier Selection for global suppliers
Identify potential Suppliers, Conduct RFx, Negotiate Agreements and Select the best Supplier to fit the needs taking in account TCO analysis
Create & Manage Tool Content such catalogs, purchase marketplaces and manage the Buying Channels with suppliers
Participate in the implementation of category strategy by leading or delegating the tendering and negotiation process for critical products or services and by following up the implementation of the contracts
 
About You
Experience on similar position, good understanding of market dynamicity, indexes, trends
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to manage internal and external customers
Project Management: ability to evaluate, plan, execute and manage multiple category initiatives
Problem solving abilities
A person with customer service focus
