About the role

To support our growth, we seek a results-oriented Regional Account Manager with experience in value-based selling, preferably with a background in the automotive, consumer, or equipment manufacturing industries. We are searching for an individual who can connect with new customers, grow an emerging market, and seize new opportunities. This role involves overseeing direct and indirect account development within the North America regional territory (TBD). Responsibilities include managing the existing customer base while developing new opportunities to grow volume and profit.

 

Your Impact as:  Regional Account Retail Manager – ACE Products

  • Manage existing accounts, delivering superior customer service to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Target and develop new business opportunities to increase market share
  • Launch new solutions with industry customers, promoting Bekaert and our branded products

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide product information
  • Generate new business by introducing new products and solutions
  • Run assigned business with an entrepreneurial mindset to expand revenue and profitability
  • Provide product information and presentations to potential customers
  • Forecast and analyze production plans per product category
  • Manage daily supply chain and accounts receivable activities
  • Conduct price and contract negotiations
  • Establish and exceed yearly territory sales budget
  • Achieve all segment standard gross margin expectations
  • Analyze competitor activity and market trends
  • Coordinate account services with the respective inside sales team
  • Resolve customer complaints in collaboration with manufacturing and quality control departments
  • Keep accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system
  • Collaborate with the finance and engineering teams
  • Attend trade shows and events to support customers and generate leads
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and product developments

 

Market Focus:

 

  • Automotive, consumer, and equipment shaped wire solutions in the US, Canada & Mexico.

 

 

 About You

Essential skills & competencies

  • 6+ years of sales experience, preferably in a B2B industry with a manufacturer focus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Decision-making and pricing/negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office (advanced PowerPoint and Excel user)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30-50%, including the US and Canada
  • General knowledge of the PPAP process
  • Proficient in forecasting and administrative skills
  • Capable of managing travel and entertainment budgets
  • A desire to learn and grow within the organization
  • A competitive mindset and a passion to win
