About the role

As a Mechanical Designer you are designing concepts for industrial equipment and are building a strong external network to help you develop new products and machines to produce these products.

Your Impact as Mechanical Designer:

• You will be part of a global team of designers focusing on product development and design manufacturing machines.
• You will collaborate with production and process development technicians to develop new products and machines to produce these products.
• You will build a network of external partners and experts to realize fast test set ups in order to define final specifications for the production equipment.
• You will design new concepts in order to explore and discuss.
• You will work in a challenging environment with a high degree of independence.
• You will support the plants in the startup phase of the prototypes until there is a hand over to production and maintenance.  

About You

Essential skills & competencies

• You have at least a master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a bachelor’s degree in mechanical design.
• You have at least 5 years of practical design experience.
• To have some background in Mechatronics is a plus.
• You are creative and able to do concept design from scratch.
• You have excellent communication and collaboration skills and are great at initiating collaboration with external and internal partners.
• Your project management skills are excellent.
• Being hands-on and proactive in your approach to work will help you deliver high-quality outcomes and meet deadlines.
• proficiency in English, any other language is a plus.
