Purpose and Mission
Key Activities and Responsibilities
We are looking for a Temporary (fixed term contract) ''General Accounting Specialist'':
- Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Audit Support: Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.
- Tax support: Provide neccesary preparation of VAT1, VAT2, Witholding Tax and other declarations
- Turkish CPA (SMMM) License will be considered as a big plus,
- System Management: Maintain and update financial systems and software to ensure data integrity.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to gather and analyze financial information.
Skills
- Strong ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with accounts payable software and financial systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills to resolve billing and payment issues
- Good command of English
- Reside in Izmit/Kocaeli
Previous Experience
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in general ledger or a related accounting role.
- Experience with accounting software and financial reporting tools.
Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor’s Degre in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
