Your Role

1. Data Analysis & Management 
- Perform a Spend & Demand Analysis
- Analyze historical and future business requirements of Bekaert globally within the category in terms of quantity and quality, analyze the supply market within the category and identify cross-plant, regional and global opportunities for leveraging purchasing
- Develop and maintain the category spend analysis, savings reporting, and supplier passports (if applicable)
- Steer the management of specifications for important and critical products or services: ensure that the specifications are clear and available in the system and assure (delegate) the communication to the suppliers
- Identify Cost Drivers for the specific category and material group
- Assist on the Supply Market Analysis, Industry Landscape and competition & benchmarking
- Manage the effectiveness and integrity of the master data database for the category
- Collect, analyze, and assure quality and accuracy of the spend analysis and KPI’s in the portfolio
- Create & Manage Tool Content such catalogs, purchase market places and manage the Buying Channels with suppliers

2. Market sourcing & Strategy define and implementation & Project excution
- Define and develops the category Sourcing Strategy
-  Provide market insights to other members of the procurement team, interact functionally with site buyers as well as global technical goods / technical services strategic buyers
-  Ability to research and identify capable vendors or contractors
-  Initiate, develop and execute TCO projects
-  Develop innovative sourcing alternatives to inject competition and mitigate risk in goods and/or services

3. Supplier management & Compliance 
- Participate in the implementation of category strategy by leading or delegating the tendering and negotiation process for critical products or services and by following up the implementation of the contracts
- Activates Tendering & Supplier Selection for global suppliers
- Negotiate, develop, manage engineering and procurement contracts for mechanical, civil, I&E disciplines as well as major process equipment for plant production
- Identify potential Suppliers, Conduct RFx, Negotiate Agreements and Select the best Supplier to fit the needs taking in account TCO analysis
- Initiate selection and approval of new vendors
- Preparation of paper or electronic RFQs
- Provide support to the project team in contract administration, cost controls, change order management, etc.
- Communicate, follow-up and maintain the commercial agreements in his/her portfolio
- Maintain files and communicate non-conformance issues internally and with vendors
- Ensure compliance with the purchasing process manual, policies, and procedures
 

Your Profile

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline
2. 2-4 years of professional experience in procurement, engineering or project management required
3. Ability to work in a matrix organization
4. Strong analytical skills
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills
6. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
7. Knowledge of SAP purchasing and maintenance modules
8. Strong computer software knowledge (Excel, Word, Access, Google Applications, MS Project)
