Purpose and Mission

  • We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automation Design Engineer to join our Factory Automation Team. The successful candidate will assist in designing and implementing automation projects, including robotic handling systems and Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) projects, within our plant. Additionally, the candidate will support project management activities to ensure timely and successful project completion.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

  1. Design and implementation - Support in the design and development of automation projects, e.g. robotic handling systems and AGV projects. Take care design upgrading and revamping project:
    • Collaborate with senior engineers to create detailed project plans and specifications.
    • Make design or upgrading/revamping scheme (Electrical BOM, drawing, program).
    • Write PLC/IPC program, e.g. Beckhoff, Rockwell etc.
    • Trouble shooting and testing.
    • Finalize technical construction files for the project.
  1. Problem solving
    • Be able to identify and solve the problems of existing automation equipment in a systematic way.
    • Be able to communicate with customer the technical issues clearly and smoothly. 
  1. Service at customer - Project commissioning at customer site
    • Do startup for automation equipment/upgrading.
    • Provide automation equipment training for customers.
    • Solve complex technical problems for customer and give  training.
  1. Project management
    • Under the complete project plan, be able to make up the design/programming/testing plan.
    • With good track of timing and budget control

Skills

  • Technical Skills: Be able to do electrical circuit design

Previous Experience

  • More than 3 years working experience in related field.
  • Be able to do electrical circuit design
  • Having experience in reading/writing PLC programs
  • AGV commissioning experience is a plus

Qualifications and Education

  • University level or above, major in electrical/automation.
  • More than 3 years working experience in related field.
  • Good communication and coordination skill.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good spoken and written English skill.
