Purpose and Mission
- Manage strategic segment, define and follow up SDP (Segment Development Plan) to achieve planned growth in assigned regions - North & SE Asia.
- Lead the key project in this segment, and guarantee the successful completion of this project.
- Lead Segment's H&P platform and support S&M teams in assigned regions to achieve planned sales growth.
- Bridging the requirements from market and define operative tasks for sourcing plants (BJWP, BQWP), to support the SDP and increase the H&P sucess rate.
- New Product Development, to support SDP in long term.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
- Segment Management
- Lead Segment Development Plan in assigned regions, Identify the Market trend, Do Competitiveness evaluation, Collect Competitor analysis, Do SWOT analysis, X+5 Footprint.
- Define and develop product portfolio, segmentation, roadmaps, value propositions and pricing strategies according to SDP.
- Propose Applications / Products / Customers to approach and promote. Identify How much could access and target for. Propose What actions to prioritize, When to achieve, in Hunting & Prospecting platform, support and motivate S&M teams in assigned regions to achieve planned growth in due time.
- Project Management
- Act as key project leader, define and follow up critical tasks together with project owners, stake holders from China team and Global Strategy teams, to achieve key breakthroughs defined in project task book.
- Marketing and Technical Supports
- Has an in depth knowledge of the product (including packaging, standards, applications, technical characteristics … )
- Gives training to sales people to attain the required level on product knowledge
- Works with the factories and selected distributors and customers, support strategic business segments and key accounts.
- Prepares the correct marketing tools (brochures, folders, presentations, case studies exhibitions, seminars, …)
- Defines the need for these tools to support the sales growth
- Market Intelligence
- Conducts industry analysis and build company profiles for targeted segments and companies. Understands the voice of the customers, their met and unmet needs by contextual interviews.
- Identifies and analyzes new growth opportunities derived from our existing product portfolio and/or based on current or new competencies.
- Monitors market & technology trends and evolutions in selected segments; Develops and manages a market database to enable the business to track market trends by segment and customer.
- New Product Development
- Joints efforts with sales/plants to develop innovative new products and business solution /or delivery fit-for-purpose products solution to fulfill market demand and customer needs
- Plans and manages the new product launch with clear product value proposition, unique selling points and marketing strategy and development tactic plan.
- Strategy Development
- Defines the customized regional strategy by segments (at the same time also aligned with the global strategy)
- Deploys and implements the strategy in actions and concrete steps
- Steerings/supports the sales force towards the right customers/developments
- Monitors plant profitability by segment & region and implements strategic changes as necessary (price changes, product standardization or rationalization, etc.) to maintain a minimum contribution from sales.
- Defines the customized regional strategy by segments (at the same time also aligned with the global strategy)
Skills
- High value sales analyze ability, able to collect, analysis or conduct SWOT analyses of competitors. Provides input for strategy and product development. Links the customer's needs to Bekaert's capabilities and develops win-win proposals.
- Be self-motivated, initiative, good team player who can work independently meanwhile
- Willing to travel and sound mobility
- Working experience in technical service and the experience in the field of metal materials or Chemical industry is appreciated
- Integrity, stick to commitment
Previous Experience
- 8 years or above commercial related working experience in multi-national companies in China market.
Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor degree, specialized in mechanical / technical or commercial major related is preferred
