Purpose and Mission

  • Responsible for assessing and managing the credit risk of the organization, ensuring financial stability and sustainability. This role involves evaluating credit applications, monitoring credit data, and making informed credit decisions.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Credit Assessment: Evaluate credit applications from potential customers or vendors, assessing their creditworthiness and determining the level of risk involved.
  • Credit Decisions: Make recommendations on whether to approve or deny credit based on thorough credit analysis.
  • Monitoring: Continuously monitor the creditworthiness of existing customers, analyzing credit data and trends to identify potential risk areas.
  • Customer Relations: Communicate with internal departments and external clients to resolve credit issues and maintain good customer relations.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with the company’s credit policies and relevant regulations.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on credit risk assessments, credit decisions, and credit activity.

Skills

  • Strong ability to analyze financial data and credit reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve credit issues.
  • Familiarity with credit management software and financial reporting tools.
  • Understanding of relevant credit regulations and compliance requirements

Previous Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis or a related field.
  • Experience in assessing and managing credit risk or customer service is beneficial.

Qualifications and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
