Purpose of the Job:

The role of this position is responsible for centralized GL/FA activities and financial accounting accuracy in compliance with IFRS and PRC GAAP, Bekaert group policies and procedures, delivering timely and accurately financial reports to support business finance, tax, treasure and other stakeholders.


Your Role:

1. Be responsible for GL activity (30%)

1) Be responsible for daily accounting transaction:

   a, proper posting for cost accrual/defer upon recurring journal list.

   b, account clearance.

   c, FX revaluation both IFRS and PRC.

2) Be responsible for GL accounts reconciliation and follow up actions on the outstanding items

3) Be responsible for accounts accuracy by accounts monthly review

4) Be familiar with IFRS and PRC rules and initiate improvements idea and improve accounts standardization.

5) Be proactively follow up with global accounting policy updates

6) Closed work with other finance function and ensure transaction compliance from financial point of view

2.  Be responsible for centralized FA transactions ( 20%)

1) Maintain CAR budget and WBS structure(project breakdown) in SAP

2) Monthly review AUC status with project owner for timely FA capitalization

3) Monthly monitor depreciation and dispose FA.

4) Prepare monthly FA report to follow up if capital expenditure overspend

5) Strictly follow FA capitalization rules, e.g assets class, useful life, capitalization rules, FA/maintenance

6) Coordinate FA physical counting

3. Financial reporting(20%)

1) Prepare BFC monthly/quarterly/annually financial reporting

2) Be responsible for finance reports accuracy

3) Be responsible for the GAP analysis between BFC and SAP

4) Be responsible for monthly PRC report

5) Be responsible for GAP analysis between IFRS and PRC

6) Other reports required by tax/treasury/other stakeholders

7) Government related report

4. Audit report (15%)

1) Prepare PBC material based on global procedure timeliness

2) Review audit adjustment and post timeliness

3) Review draft audit report

5. BO intercompany reconciliation(5%)

1) Upload IC data from SAP to Business Objects Intercompany (IC), and re-load if something changed.

2) Responsible for reconcile with brother plants to solve all the difference of capital employed items and operating expense/revenue

3) Make sure all the difference are Zero or beneath the threshold, include AR and AP balance

4) Solve all the problems under the communication with Group control

6. Others (10%)

1) Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by GL Team Leader or SSC Manager

2) Support internal audit work and ensure group policy compliance

3) Be able to lead CIP projects proactively

7. Other jobs assigned by the supervisor


Context Description & Dimensions

1. The position holder reports to GL Team Leader.

2. Support GL related transactions for all Bekaert China entities.

3. Communicate and cooperate internally with other teams of the SSC (e.g., the Treasury team) and externally with business functions (e.g., site financial team, CCPD, plant purchasing department, planning department, maintenance department and etc.).

4. The position is Jiangyin based.


Your Profile:

1. Bachelor degree or above, majoring in accounting, finance or related field

2. Minimum of 2 years working experience in GL accountant position of multinational industrial companies, preferably in a shared service environment

3. Abundant operational experience in GL function position with solid financial knowledge, other financial position experience is preferred such as AR, AP and costing.

4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and ERP system (SAP proficiency is preferred)

5. Good communication skill in spoken & written Chinese and English

6. Be detail-oriented and self-motivated

7. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline

8. Ability to work in a cross-functional team with good interpersonal skills
