Purpose and Mission

As Global Process Owner (GPO) for Order-to-Cash, you will play a critical role in driving global process standardization, digital transformation, and SAP optimization across Bekaert's commercial operations. Acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, you will be responsible for governing and continuously improving end-to-end O2C processes, ensuring alignment with SAP best practices, business objectives, and regulatory requirements.

This role is instrumental in harmonizing ways of working across business units and regions, improving user adoption of digital solutions, prioritizing business requirements, and delivering transformational initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

Process Ownership & Standardization

  • Own and govern global Order-to-Cash processes including order management, pricing, credit management, delivery, billing, and collections.
  • Drive global process harmonization across business units and regions.
  • Define, validate, and maintain standardized O2C processes aligned with business strategy and SAP best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

SAP & Digital Transformation

  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities within SAP SD and related commercial platforms.
  • Review, validate, and prioritize SAP enhancement requests based on business value, complexity, risk, and strategic importance.
  • Collaborate with architects, product teams, and implementation partners to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Support adoption and continuous improvement of SAP-enabled processes.

Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the key liaison between commercial teams, finance, shared services, and IT.
  • Influence stakeholders across multiple business units to drive alignment and process adoption.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and decision-making forums.
  • Build strong relationships with global stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of initiatives.

Project Delivery & Change Management

  • Lead medium to large-scale global transformation projects from concept through deployment.
  • Manage project risks, dependencies, scope changes, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment readiness, training, and change management activities.
  • Drive business adoption and ensure realization of expected benefits.

Continuous Improvement & Performance Management

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze business and operational data to enhance customer service, process efficiency, and commercial performance.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the global O2C community.

Previous Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Order-to-Cash, Commercial Operations, Business Transformation, ERP Programs, or Process Excellence roles.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end O2C processes, including order management, pricing, billing, delivery, and accounts receivable.
  • Solid functional knowledge of SAP Sales & Distribution (SAP SD).
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end projects in complex global environments.
  • Experience managing business transformation and organizational change initiatives.
  • Experience working with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Stakeholder influence and leadership.
  • Strategic thinking and problem solving.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CRM platforms, eCommerce solutions, or other digital commercial technologies.
  • SAP SD configuration experience.
  • Agile, Scrum, PMP, PRINCE2, Lean, or similar certifications.
  • Experience within Manufacturing, Industrial Goods, Automotive, Chemicals, or related sectors.
  • Knowledge of additional languages such as Dutch, Spanish, or Chinese
