Purpose and Mission
- The Treasury Manager plays a key role in supporting the Group Treasury function through the execution and analysis of activities relating to funding, foreign exchange, interest rate risk, cash management, and liquidity management.
- The role is responsible for helping to ensure efficient cash deployment, disciplined risk management, and high-quality banking execution across the group. It also contributes to maintaining strong banking relationships and supporting the organization’s long-term financial strength, operational efficiency, and growth ambitions.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
Cash Management
• Monitor and optimize group cash flows to ensure adequate liquidity across the business at all times.
• Support the effective deployment of surplus cash while helping to minimize borrowing costs.
• Contribute to the preparation of group cash flow forecasts by currency.
• Maintain cash pooling structures and related reporting processes.
Financial Risk Management and Derivatives
• Execute foreign exchange and interest rate transactions, including derivative instruments, in line with group policies to manage risk exposures and support financial optimization.
Funding and Capital Structure
• Support the Treasury Operations Manager in assessing internal versus external funding solutions for group entities.
• Analyze local balance sheet structures, including debt and equity positions, and develop improvement recommendations in coordination with the Tax team.
• Help determine appropriate commercial and financial terms for intercompany borrowings.
Banking Relationships
• Maintain regular contact with banking partners and contribute to the development of effective, long-term banking relationships.
• Support the negotiation of bank guarantees and banking terms to secure appropriate commercial conditions.
Risk Management Reporting
• Prepare group reporting on foreign exchange, interest rate, counterparty, and liquidity risks.
• Identify and support automation opportunities to enhance treasury reporting and dashboarding capabilities.
Treasury Systems and Tools
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of treasury technology solutions.
• Maintain master and transactional data within treasury systems and tools.
Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience in a treasury front-office or comparable treasury role within a multinational organization.
- Demonstrated experience in foreign exchange and interest rate risk management, including execution of related instruments.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline.
- A recognized treasury qualification, such as ACT or equivalent, together with exposure to data analytics, would be considered an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation skills, particularly in managing relationships with banking counterparties.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and numerical discipline.
- Good working knowledge of Excel; familiarity with SAP, treasury management systems, and digital or AI-enabled solutions is an advantage.
- Structured, proactive, and able to manage priorities effectively within deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across international and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated interest in automation, continuous improvement, and process optimization.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages would be considered an asset.
