About the role
The lab operator in the Concrete Expertise Center (CEC) lab will execute trials on cast in situ concrete as well as sprayed concrete.
Your Impact as Lab Operator
- Prepare and shape concrete samples for testing, including curing, measuring, and installing equipment.
- Operate and maintain sortcrete machinery, including nozzle operation for standardized spraying tests.
- Conduct mechanical tests on concrete, such as flexural and compressive strength assessments.
- Perform material tests, including sieve analysis and measurements of concrete consistency, air content, and density.
- Assist in developing new test methods with the lab manager and contribute to R&D initiatives.
- Maintain sample management, ensure a safe 5S work environment, and report test irregularities accurately.
About You
Essential skills & competencies
- Technical diploma / ITI in Civil with at least 5 years of experience in concrete manufacturing.
- Experience in sample handling, testing, and documentation.
- Problem-solving ability
- Basic proficiency in English
- Team-oriented, with effective communication skills.
