This position is part of the Bekaert Customer & Commercial Excellence organization. The focus is the roll out of “Bekaert Customer & Commercial Excellence” (BCE) which is one of the main Bekaert companywide transformations. This has the overall target to improve the commercial skills of the organization but specifically drive the entire organization to become much more Customer Centric. The ideal individual will have the proven ability to take over a commercial management position in Bekaert in 2.5-4 years.




The core of BCE, which is focusing in Customer & Commercial excellence, became recently extended by two main priority areas: installing a comprehensive price management system and driving the digital transformation for the customer domain, in cooperation with the Digital Program Office (IT). BCE is part of the Corporate Strategy Office and supports the effort to define and drive the strategy of Bekaert - specifically focusing on commercial and customer excellence.


This function is located out of our US Headquarters in Marietta, GA and will report directly to the VP of Customer & Commercial Excellence while working closely with the BCE Program Manager.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Responsible as a Global BCE Change Agent for all projects and their success in the Region North and Latin Americas

  • Defines together with the Business (BU’s) and BCE Program Management the specific projects for X+2

  • Performs with Subject Matter Experts diagnostic and defines content of projects for X+1

  • Measures progress in qualitative and quantitative way

  • Acts as main point of contact for the Local Change Agents in the Regions

  • Represents BCE in the Region towards Regional BU Management

  • Supports to introduce the concept of Sustain & Improve. Introduces the concept in the Region to the Business and communicates.

  • Plays a role as member of the Global BCE-Team in developing further the Bekaert Customer Excellence program and bring it on world-class level.

  • Supports to make Value Creation as center of BCE and drive it to become a base competency in the Region



  • Works very close with Businesses in a “Customer / Client”-Relationship

  • Works very close with Subject Matter Experts to define needed content, tools, etc.

  • Works very close with the Program Management on all rollout activities and plays an active role in the team


Skills / Requirements

  • Master Degree is highly preferred in Business, Sales, Marketing or comparable but with solid commercial experience; minimum Bachelor Degree is required

  • Thinks and acts in concepts and business theories

  • Has practical sales / commercial experience and ideally including leadership of a Sales / Commercial-Team

  • Experience in Account and Distributor Management

  • Proficient English and Spanish language skills

  • Understands the concept of Value Creation and can be / become a promoter for this in the Bekaert Organization

  • Experience in Transformation Management / Change Management

  • Has understating for Digital Commerce , e-commerce, digital analytics tools

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to be able to drive a transformation

  • Project Management Skills

  • Very target and impact driven

  • Strategic thinking in order to understand and help to drive the Bekaert Business Strategy and reflect this in organizing the BCE-Transformation

  • Minimum International travel

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications

  • Able to live the Bekaert Values and 8 Key Leadership Behaviors
