Inside Sales Team Leader - Energy & Utilities

In order to strengthen the current growth, we are looking for a results-orientated Inside Sales Leader, with experience in value-based selling and leadership of a team. The ideal candidate is an experienced competitive self-starter that has the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You must be comfortable in a dynamic environment, working across functions (commercial, plant, supply chain), coordinating inside sales team, giving leadership and direction. 

This function is located at our US headquarters in Marietta, GA and will report directly to the Segment Manager – Energy & Utilities.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Provides overall management and leadership of the Customer Service and Inside Sales Team focused on providing excellent customer service and growing revenue. Creates, monitors and reports the performance metrics for the Customer Service and Inside Sales area. Identifies and implements process improvements across the Customer Service and Inside Sales department as well as other departments when necessary.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Supervising the daily operations of the inside sales and customer service team
  • Setting inside sales/customer service goals for team members and helping them reach those goals
  • Interacting with customers and handling customer queries and complaints in a timely manner
  • Address customer questions concerning products/services and their orders
  • Actively manage and provide pricing and delivery to our customers in a timely and courteous fashion
  • Utilize organization and negotiating techniques, and apply resourcefulness and strong attention to detail while converting inquiries into orders
  • Manage existing customer base to continually grow market share
  • Identify new opportunities and capitalize on those which are aligned with company goals
  • Generate and follow up on quotes for all products
  • Establish and exceed yearly sales budget
  • Report competitor and market activity
  • Update sales forecasts regularly
  • Provide technical assistance to customers and team
  • Resolve customer complaints collaborating with manufacturing and quality control
  • Continuously increase knowledge of company products, services, and procedures
  • Suggest new product innovation to successfully grow your business
  • Work in team environment, communicating as required with all personnel
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Prospect call preparation including company background research and other pertinent lead information
  • Identify customer's buying trends and provide reports to management
  • Enter, update, and maintain CRM information on leads, prospects, and opportunities

    Skills, competencies and requirements:
     
  • BA/BS degree (preferably Business Administration)
  • Minimum of 3-4 years sales experience (preferably in a leadership role managing others)
  • Customer Service Orientated
  • Interpersonal skills necessary in order to effectively coordinate team, sell, negotiate and close business with customers
  • Effective communication and listening skills
  • Administrative Skills (Forecasting, Call Reports; familiarity with CRM, SAP and Microsoft Office 365)
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work
  • A desire to learn
