About the role

The Learning & Development Operations Specialist is responsible for the practical planning, coordination, communication, implementation and follow up of learning & development initiatives, following direction from local stakeholders, and in alignment with the Learning Strategy and location labour law and compliance needs. The incumbent will be responsible for the delivery of Learning and Development activities on a local basis to a population of 1500 employees. This role reports directly to the L&D Operations Hub Team Lead.

 

Your Impact as Learning and Development Operations Specialist

  • Operationally delivers the existing local learning and development initiatives in his/her location or region (e.g., local development calendar, leadership programs, local mandatory trainings) and oversees and plan/schedule the overall coordination of learning and development activities which may include the sourcing of trainers, guest speakers, educational consultants, as requested by internal customers (supplier management)
  • Effectively communicates on learning & development initiatives to the various stakeholders (local technical trainers, employees, HR BPs, line managers, authorities) in his/her location or region
  • Builds and maintains relationships with reputable external learning suppliers (coaches, trainers, speakers) in his/her region. 
  • Evaluates internally and externally facilitated learning and development activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and audit requirement and report on return on investment in terms of costs, learning’s gained and share this knowledge with organization as required
  • Organizes venues, RSVP’s, catering, training material and equipment and keep stakeholders well informed, ensuring correct cost allocation of training costs and assists with Purchase Orders
  • Ensures learning and development records and statistics are maintained in the Learning Management Solution and reported effectively to monitor, manage and follow-up all learning and development activities in his/he regions
  • Is actively involved in HR Group projects in the areas of Learning & Development, steered by the COE Learning or by the Head of Learning and Development
  • Coordinates, plans, and communicates the local training calendar in an efficient way

 

About You

 

Essential skills & competences

 

  • Bachelor degree in HR, Psychology, Law, Economics or similar
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Learning & Development activities, preferably in an sizeable industrial/production environment
  • Knowledge of available and current market offerings in development programs.
  • Ability to design & present training programs to address specific needs.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrates initiative, analyzes what is needed.
  • Ability to coach and develop people at all levels, groups & individuals.
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of Integrity, Trust & Resilience.
  • Demonstrate systems & process thinking in designing & driving continuous improvement of solutions offering.
  • Excellent knowledge of written & spoken English; Spanish is a plus
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally ( up to 15%)
