Procurement Category Manager WR America’s & NAM

About the role

• Develop (in close cooperation with stakeholders and procurement categories) and oversee the execution of global material category strategy and realization of the value agenda toward savings
• Deploy the category strategy within the organization and establish a transparent follow-up and communication of the performance against the targets
• Report savings on a regular basis on the progress of the key initiatives for the category in the PMO
• Manage regional procurement process by aligning demands from plants and General Manager’s requirements with supply market alternatives.
• Responsible for Wire Rod price negotiations, contracts and supply strategy
• 'Manage regional supplier relationships to maintain the negotiation and supply process flows. Also responsible for managing the operational sourcing activities for all regional plants.
• Ensure Procurement policies, processes and Contract Mgmt. management by aligning with Global procurement standards processes throughout the portfolio.
• Manage saving, cost improvements and efficiency projects following global procurement programs or regional initiatives as well.
• Evaluate, manage and develop procurement teams by partnering with HR team.
• Manage and leverage regional inventories and supply KPIs to meet global target requirements and financial results.

About You

Essential skills & competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 12 years of experience in purchasing
• 'SAP essentials
• eBuy S2C modules a plus.
• Project management skilled
• Analytical capabilities
• MS Office (Excel, ppt., etc.)
• MS Power Bi knowledge a plus
• Supplier Management (including Development & Relationship)
• Contractual Risk Management
• Cost Management (Financial Acumen)
• Knowledge of logistics and basic general foreign trade processes for the region
• Understanding of market dynamics, indexes, trends
