As a Strategic Market & Business Analyst, you will play a key role in driving sustainable profitable growth for the Building Products (BPR) division in North America. You will be responsible for market analysis and developing & implementing strategies to drive new market growth in Masonry, Road and new applications in Concrete Reinforcement as well. This function will report directly to the Global Marketing & Strategy Manager with a dotted line to the Commercial General Manager for Building Products North America and will work hand-in-hand with the Area Sales Manager, Regional Sales and Technical Managers, VP Plastering Road and Masonry and other BPR colleagues located at the Headquarters in Belgium. Bekaert is seeking ambitious professionals that are highly competent in combining strategic thinking with a hands-on approach in driving actions resulting in profitable business growth for Bekaert.




Market analysis: Conduct regular analysis processes as well as ad-hoc initiatives on relevant topics, e.g. price trends monitoring, industry landscaping and analysis (trends, competition, and value chain analysis), market analysis (size, attractiveness, performance requirements, customer value analysis)


Strategy and Business Development Projects: Take part in strategy and business development projects, e.g. analyzing existing and alternative business models, working with commercial teams to define G2M strategies, assessing BPR’s value proposition, benchmarking BPR’s product portfolio, identifying and assessing potential partnerships


Insights Reporting Tools: Create and manage BI dashboards to improve business understanding and decision making processes


Regional CRM Lead: Leverage power of existing CRM system to strengthen market and business analysis; serve as first point of contact to CRM user (first layer trouble shooting)


Other Projects: Take part in global strategy projects on behalf of BPR Americas, e.g. x+5, bold moves, etc.




  • A Bachelor degree with focus on Business Strategy, Strategic Marketing or equivalent proven working experience. MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B company preferably in industrial markets and with international operations.
  • Commercial development acumen including value chain analysis, customer need analysis, definition of value proposition, market positioning and financial analysis.
  • Competent in Prospecting & Networking; Ability to think in a strategic way, a solution creator with an outside in mindset. Have a can-do attitude and focused on getting things done (result driven); Self-starter and ability to work on their own.
  • Excellent communication skills across multiple media and ability to summarize the information for higher-level audience, helping management to understand what it means for Bekaert and draw conclusions.
  • Strong analytical skills and a good affinity with figures and analytical concepts and tools. Ability to compile and analyze data; process and synthesize information from various sources to produce market and business insights
  • Excellent team player with good interpersonal skills. Will work with 6-8 Sales Managers and international colleagues.
  • Fluent in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint; strong working knowledge of market analysis tools and databases; experience user of CRM systems (MS360)
  • Willingness and available to travel in North America up to 30%
  • Native level proficiency in English; business level Spanish is a strong plus
