Inside Sales

Maintaining and growing current customer accounts, identifying and attracting new customers, and meeting or exceeding sales and margin targets by providing value-based customer focused solutions across all markets and sub-segments within the assigned business unit.
 

Essential Functions of the Position

  • Direct customer interaction to meet and/or exceed customer requirements in regards to needs; order entry, delivery and price confirmation and updated order status.
  • Support outside sales team with order entry, delivery confirmation and logistics support for new and existing outside sales accounts.
  • Manage, develop and grow customer accounts in conjunction with the overall segment Sales & Marketing plan. Manage existing customers or prospect new customers through various methods (cold calls, e-mails, etc.) to build business portfolio.;
  • Control the sales process through remote customer contact from needs analysis, proposals and price setting over negotiations towards closing the deal and facilitating credit control.
  • Deliver defined sales and profitability targets;
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions;
  • Follow-up with customers to ensure on-going customer satisfaction and complaint resolution;
  • Keep current on products and services and build insights in the related market, customers, products and applications by attending training, seminars, sales meetings, etc.;
  • Provides monthly forecasting and reporting and manages the personal sales budget;
  • Interface with manufacturing plant to insure availability of product and that customer needs are met.
  • Process Purchase Orders and price quotations, deliveries and credit/complaint information in a timely manner. Domestic, import, and export.
  • Resolve customer complaints to support customer satisfaction and being fair for both customer and Bekaert.

 

Minimum Requirements of the Position

  • B.A. or B.S. degree is required, preferably Business, Sales, or Marketing
  • Minimum 1 years Sales experience required, preferably in a Manufacturing environment
  • Computer Literacy in Microsoft Office required, knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Written and oral communication skills necessary to sell, negotiate and close business with customers.
  • Ability to work well with others within a team:
    • Must work closely with External Sales, Sales Management, and Production Management within an agreed internal framework to appropriately manage customers.
    • Must work closely with planning, logistics and shipping departments to ensure a high service level and on time delivery with the customer.
  • Needs ability to work under pressure and deal with deadlines
