Purpose and Mission

  • Responsible for monitoring, controlling, and maintaining wastewater treatment equipment, ensuring the safe and effective treatment of wastewater.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control the wastewater treatment process, including chemical dosing, aeration, sedimentation, and filtration.
  • Regularly inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain pumps, valves, tanks, and other treatment equipment.
  • Collect wastewater samples, perform laboratory tests, and record results.
  • Maintain accurate records of operational activities, maintenance, and incidents
  • Follow safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and promote a safe work environment.

Skills

  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and regulations.
  • Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and working outdoors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Previous Experience

  • Experience in wastewater treatment operations preferred

Qualifications and Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification) preferred.
