Purpose and Mission
- Responsible for monitoring, controlling, and maintaining wastewater treatment equipment, ensuring the safe and effective treatment of wastewater.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
- Monitor and control the wastewater treatment process, including chemical dosing, aeration, sedimentation, and filtration.
- Regularly inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain pumps, valves, tanks, and other treatment equipment.
- Collect wastewater samples, perform laboratory tests, and record results.
- Maintain accurate records of operational activities, maintenance, and incidents
- Follow safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and promote a safe work environment.
Skills
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and regulations.
- Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and working outdoors.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Previous Experience
- Experience in wastewater treatment operations preferred
Qualifications and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification) preferred.
