Purpose of the Role:
The HR Business Partner Brasil is responsible for aligning the people agenda with the strategic and operational priorities of the Steel Ropes business in Brasil. The role provides hands-on HR leadership across the employee lifecycle while acting as a trusted partner to business and site leaders, supporting organisational performance, workforce capability, employee and industrial relations, leadership effectiveness, talent development, engagement and sustainable change.The role leads and develops a team of 5 HR professionals.
Key activities and responsibilities
- Partner with local management to develop and implement HR strategies that support the business objectives.
- Provide guidance on complex employee relations topics, performance management, and workforce planning.
- Drive talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to build a high-performing workforce within the local context.
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and improve HR practices.
- Facilitate change management initiatives and support the business.
- Act as a coach and mentor to business leaders and HR teams within the location.
Skills & Competencies Required
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Law, Psychology or a related field
- Minimun seven years of progressive HR experience, ideally including at least three years in an HR Business Partner, HR Manager or comparable business-facing role.
- Prior experience working in a unionized manufacturing/plant environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local employment law, talent management, and organizational development.
- Ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Pragmatic problem-solver with strong people management skills.
- Structured, engaging, and hands-on, adaptable to Bekaert's context, influential, collaborative, a strong networker, and skilled in critical analysis and creative problem-solving
- Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
- Professional proficiency in Portuguese and English.
