Purpose and Mission
The role is home based and ideally you would be in the state of Alberta to easily serve Edmonton and Calgary regions. You will be responsible for guiding and managing a team of sales representatives to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets within this region.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to ensure high performance and achievement of sales goals.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders.
- Sales Forecasting: Prepare and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and finance teams to align sales strategies with overall business goals.
- Negotiation and Deal Closure: Negotiate contracts and close deals with key customers and partners.
- Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools to drive sales performance
- Deep understanding of sales strategies and customer relationship management
Previous Experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the industrial or manufacturing sector
Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
