I.         PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• Perform variety of technical duties in electrical works required for various machines assembly (repair, modification, installation, testing, calibration and assembly) in order to make sure that all equipment and machines are assembled & ready to run properly.
• Responsible for making sure that all electrical systems/parts are maintained properly.
• Knows the electrical installation & assembly techniques very well & starts the electrical assembly from beginning.
• Later on coach, guide & handles a team of people to assemble the machines.

II.        MAJOR ACTIVITIES / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY

1. Carryout machine/equipment assembly operation as per the electrical circuit diagrams & drawings as per Bekaert standards keeping “Safety First” in mind,
2. Diagnose malfunctioning and take appropriate actions to make the machine running right in first time.
3. Maintain all machines/equipments in the shop clean & orderly condition.
4. Maintain records of all assembly, calibrations, various test results & procedures of assembly.
5. Keep all the manuals & records filed properly.
6. Collect data è analyse it è propose action to improve the assembly operation in future.
7. Check contractor’s work done for supplied electrical panels & sub-panels. Visit to contractors shop frequently to check intermittently quality.
8. Test electrical & electronic components, PLC’s & drives. Basic knowledge is very essential for drives & PLC’s.
9. Maintain electrical & pneumatic parts inventory to support assembly operation in coordination with store person.
10. Prepare the issue slips for spares regularly & bring the data into the SAP system.
11. Receive & inspect the incoming parts.
12. Revamping & upgrading machines as & when required.
13. Support installation of production machines.
14. In future coach, guide & handles a team of people to assemble the various types of machines.

III.       SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• A very good machine assembly knowledge & ready to work with own hands.
• Proficient in reading & interpreting electrical diagrams & electronic schematics with European standards.
• Able to read & understand multi level/pages electrical circuit diagrams.
• Able to read basic mechanical drawings.
• Good knowledge of AC & DC motors & related control circuits.
• Able to use various test equipments like multi meter, speed meter, lug crimping tools, tong tester & other electrical devices & modern tools & equipments to have a good perfect electrical assembly.
• In depth knowledge of electrical working principle of machines & equipments along with related pneumatic circuits.
• In depth knowledge of electrical components & able to select substitute devices.
• Able to perform electrical wiring, component 7 assembly installation.
• Able to perform pneumatics, component and assembly installation.
• Administration (organise spare parts, filing system, record keeping, report writing)
• Able to repair pneumatic circuits.
• Through knowledge of function of the machine.
• Sound knowledge of quality of materials of parts & working principle of parts.
• Proficient in technical drawings ( read, interpret & make)
• Have good knowledge of LT distribution system.
