About the role

Your Impact as CAD Designer Electrical

I. PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To strengthen the Global Engineering Electrical Design Department, we are currently looking for an Electrical CAD Engineering in BENI, India.

II. ROLE DESCRIPTION:
 

• Work closely with design engineers to develop, produce and maintain engineering drawings using 2D/3D CAD software – Eplan P8
  • electrical systems, i.e. motor control schematic diagrams, interconnection diagrams, single line diagrams, general arrangement drawings, grounding/earthing connections, cable lists, terminal list & wire connection diagrams,
  • control logic architecture & instrumentation diagrams
  • cabinet lay-out & heat calculations of the cabinet.
  • complete cable tray and raceway design
  • pneumatically & hydraulically fluid multiline diagrams.
• Ensure coordination of all electrical interfaces with designers and engineers of other disciplines
• Calculate cable sizing and protections (fuses, circuit breakers….).
• Produce Bill of Materials and defines the need of pre-ordering of long delivery parts.
• Ensure all drawings and deliverables are checked to comply project and Engineering quality standards.
• Report generation in e-Plan (Terminal diagram, Cable diagram, Cable Overview, Parts list, IO List etc.)
• Assist in making the planning of the ECAD department & report conflicts on time.
• Assist in the standardization comity for electrical / pneumatic & hydraulically parts.
• Assist in keeping the Engineering Eplan drawing database up to the latest standards (component library / symbol’s / macro’s, ……)
• Electrical panel testing & Inspection at vendor place and at BENI workshop.
• Support to BENI sourcing team by providing the needed technical specifications.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equal by experience.
• Excellent knowledge and Hands on experience in e-Plan P8
• Knowledge of low voltage electrical equipment and control systems (programmable logic controllers, motor drives, safety systems, …….)
• Knowledge of control systems and instrumentation design
• Good knowledge of pneumatic fluid diagram and components
• Good knowledge of hydraulic fluid diagram and components.
• Knowledge of 3D Pro-panel software is a plus point.
• Demonstrate strong technical skills and eager to learn new technology.
• Strong computer skills, Excellent verbal, and written communication skills
• Willingness to be a part of a global engineering company and to collaborate with teams in other offices around the world / team player.
• Willing to travel for a short period (training...).
• Preferable 3-4 years of experience in electrical design or electrical drawing.
