About the role
Your Impact as Electrical Sourcing Engineer
- Understand project design requirements and ensure alignment with Global Design standards; translate these into clear technical requirements for suppliers.
- Collaborate with the Central Purchasing Department (CPD) to lead technical, logistical, and commercial negotiations with suppliers.
- Drive RFQ processes, including quote follow-ups, supplier meetings, and on-site evaluations Material delivery follow ups, Project BOM delivery updates to CFT.
- Analyse quotations, compare supplier offers, and prepare evaluations and decision matrices for strategic sourcing.
- Assess supplier capabilities (quality, logistics, price, support) and coordinate with supervisor & CPD to finalize selection.
- New vendor development, new product development, understanding legal compliance of the Products for sourcing, understanding needed national/international certifications (e.g BIS, CE, CCC,UL etc) for products.
- Support invoice verification and resolution of supplier-related issues.
- Procurement to Payment (P2P Cycle) ownership.
About You
Essential skills & competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics or E&TC or Industrial Electronic Electrical, or a related field with 7-8 years of experience in technical sourcing or a related role.
- Preferred experience from OEM (Electromechanical) Industry, Control Panels Manufacturing,
- Hands on experience in SAP
- Strong understanding of electrical components and their application in industrial systems. E.g. VFDs, Motors, PLCs, Switchgears, Control gears, Panel building etc.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to lead discussions involving technical and commercial considerations.
- Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global teams.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel for supplier visits and evaluations.
- Report preparation in Excel, PPTs
- Electrical Drawings (EPlan/Ecad) understanding.
