About the role

Your Impact as Global Finance Partner - FP&A (SWS)

I. PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The candidate will be responsible for delivering complete Global FP&A reporting for SWS BU including X+5 and X+1. The role will involve interaction with SWS FP&A Director, VP Finance and all the regional finance business partners.

The Candidate should have leadership skills, the Candidate must be a team player and self-starter too as the position needs working in cross functional teams to resolve issues having impact on multiple functions. The Candidate should also be able to handle the Projects & its management independently, while maintaining Confidentiality of the Project wherever required.

II. ROLE DESCRIPTION
 

SWS BU FP&A:

  • Drive key planning cycles (X+5, X+1, Ques) by defining Business Unit (BU) reporting timelines, performing the global consolidation, and outlining the key management themes, drivers, risk and opportunities (nearly full time during the reporting periods)
  • Drive monthly activities and assist in filling of various global FPA templates with proposed first level of commentary
  • Ensures the timely execution of reports with data integrity in collaboration with SWS finance leadership team and understand the build-up of the figures and be ready to concisely reply on questions; drive corrective actions when needed.
  • Financial modeling & data gathering on short term & long term planning exercises including actual reporting.
  • Engage with regional finance team to support Financial Planning and Analysis activities.
  • Provide analysis and insights, consistency checks, quantifying drivers, identifying trends.
  • Support the Financial Business Partner with providing financial metrics to the functions.
  • Interface with key stakeholders at regional and BU level to understand needs and drive further development of reports, analysis and insights. 
  • Support in the approval flow on financial impact of listed cost saving actions.
  • Support team in transforming reporting requirements on new reporting platform and further train wherever possible.
  • Ad hoc financial analysis
  • Produce and deliver 10+ standardized reports across Bekaert.
  • Provide first level of analysis with proposed comments.
  • Responsible to meeting all the financial reporting deadlines.
  • Train new members in SWS FP&A team over key processes and activities

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Educational Qualifications:   

-  Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in accounting, finance, or related field.

-  Professional qualification as PGPM.

Technical Skills

-  Expert knowledge of all Bekaert systems BFC, Power BI and other reporting tools

-  Knowledge and understanding of operations of accounting & financial function is essential.

-  Software knowledge – Expert in MS Excel, Word & Power point.
