Purpose of the job:

 

As part of the ongoing finance transformation to become a leaner finance business partnering organization and take advantage of scale, an Advanced Reporting Center (ARC) is established. The global finance analyst will be a key person to support the central finance team with a focus on financial reporting, planning and analysis activities related to global functions

Global Financial Analyst_Global Functions

 

 

  • Support the Financial Business Partner with providing financial  metrics to the functions. Ensures the timely execution of reports with data integrity,
  • Provide analysis and insights, consistency checks, quantifying drivers, identifying trends
  • Understand the build-up of the figures and be ready to concisely reply on questions; drive corrective actions when needed
  • Interface with key stakeholders at regional and BU/FU level to understand needs and drive further development of reports, analysis and insights 
  • Financial modeling & data gathering on ST & LT planning exercises including actual reporting
  • Support in the approval flow on financial impact of listed cost saving actions
  • Ad hoc financial analysis

Responsible for supporting key reporting and analysis processes for global functions of a Euro 5 Bln business  

 

 

ESSENTIAL SKILL & COMPETENCIES

Describe the combination(s) of formal education, training and or relevant work experience that are required for this position.

Profile

  • Preferably prior financial management experience across a complex global enterprise of significant scale, in a global international environment, preference US multinational. Preferably Industrial- Manufacturing (internships are considered)
  • 3-5 years of experience, ideally in a similar role
  • Demonstrated track record of success and reporting excellence
  • Ability to analyze complex financial processes, draw logical conclusions about business implications based on detailed system-based analysis and identify actions.
  • Can-do attitude and committed to meeting deadlines.
  • Strong assertiveness and ability to influence. Result oriented and value add driven
  • Clear thinking & communication; strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to present and explain financial results in a credible, professional manner to wide variety of audiences
  • Ability to make a financial judgement within a set framework
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Proactively identify risks & escalate when required
  • Excellent MS Office Excel and PowerPoint skills (Excel PowerPivot + Microsoft PowerBI), BW
  • Finance Masters, MBA or CPA
